What’s On June 2018

As you will be aware from last month’s newsletter June is a busy month for those organising events on behalf of The Rosemary Foundation, including our own nurses who are holding their annual Tea-Party on Saturday 23rd June – which is also the date of our 21st anniversary.

Firstly however, a big ‘THANK YOU’ to all who took part in, and organised, events during May – particularly those on the South Downs Yomp in very difficult conditions over the second Bank Holiday weekend.

This year was very challenging for the ‘yompers’, and the heat and humidity caused extra difficulties for several participants. Their Justgiving pages are still open and if you would like to make a retrospective donation to recognise their efforts please contact me, Jeremy Mitchell, at The Rosemary Foundation for further details. I may be reached by email on communications@rosemary- foundation.org.uk or by telephone on 01730 266329.

Saturday 16th June provides two opportunities to support us.

From 9.30 am – 12.00 pm there will be a Coffee Morning in Liss at the Triangle Centre in the Triangle Coffee Bar – http://www.liss- triangle-centre.org.uk/pages/coffee-bar/. And for those living to the South of the area we cover

If you feel June 16th was busy, Saturday 23rd June is a very busy day for the Foundation!

In the afternoon there is The Rosemary Foundation ‘Nurses Tea Party’ at East Meon Village Hall. This is a ticketed event organised and run by our Nurses.

And in the evening in Petersfield there will be a concert by the gemini consort at St Peter’s Church, Petersfield at 7.30 pm. This Summer Concert will contain a plethora of wonderful musical gems to lift the spirit and bring a smile to everyone’s face. Much of the music is of a pastoral nature celebrating our superb countryside.

If you have any energy left on Sunday 24 th June and want to venture out into the fresh air, the beautiful gardens in East Meon will be opening their gates in aid of The Rosemary Foundation.

With parking available on the Village Green, Teas in the Village Hall and all gardens within a short walk of one another this is a visit not to be missed.

By the 29th June you may be ready for a rest, not so one of our nurses, Louise Golledge, who is undertaking a ‘Walk to Work’ challenge to raise money for us.

Whilst you may be thinking “so, many of us walk to work every day”, Louise actually lives in Gosport! Her walk will therefore take place over the 29th and 30th and she will be accompanied in stages along the way by other nurses and volunteers from The Rosemary Foundation.

Details of her walk follow, together with a link to her Justgiving page:

Finally, a big ‘Thank you’ to everyone who has ‘opted-in’ to receive these copies of ‘What’s On at The Rosemary Foundation’ – and to apologise if anyone has been included in error.

Please remember you can unsubscribe at any time by writing to us at 35 Lavant Street, Petersfield, GU32 3EL or by email to communications@rosemary-foundation.org.uk.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SUPPORT AS WE APPROACH OUR 21ST ANNIVERSARY ON 23rd JUNE 2018 –

21 years of having been ‘Together for the Community’.
