Watoto Christmas Fair Helps Rosemary Foundation

From Life in Petersfield, by Henry Ascoli

Watoto Christmas FairBoutique brands and a beautiful venue are expected to attract visitors from far and wide to the fifth annual Watoto Christmas Fair at The Tithe Barn in Ditcham on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 November.

Doors open at 9am, and visitors will be welcome to browse a range of stalls and enjoy refreshments and a light lunch, with the fair open until 4pm. The entrance fee of £4 includes coffee and a slice of homemade cake.

In addition to supporting the Watoto Trust, the fair also aims to raise funds for two local charities: The Saint Catherine of Siena Building Fund and The Rosemary Foundation.

Jo Shapiro, event organiser and a trustee for the Watoto Trust, commented: “We spend the year looking for stylish yet affordable brands that you don’t find on the high street. That means our visitors can find something a bit different and can do all their Christmas shopping under one roof.

“This year, we have lots of new stallholders offering a great mix of gifts for all the family, exquisite items for the home, beautiful artworks and delicious foodie treats. Lots of our stallholders are local businesses and the fair provides a great platform for them to reach a wider audience.

“So by doing their Christmas shopping at the fair, our visitors are not only making a direct contribution to helping vulnerable children in Kenya, but they are also supporting a number of local businesses.”
