20th Anniversary & Other Events

Rosemary-Foundation-20thThe Rosemary Foundation thanks its supporters for a wonderful Christmas

Christmas is a very busy time for everyone, so it was fantastic to see so many of our helpers and supporters willing to go the extra mile and help raise money for The Rosemary Foundation.

We would like to say a big “thank you” to everyone who organised or supported events around the Petersfield and Meon Valley area that raised more than £8,000 in December for our “Hospice at Home” service.

Events varied and included a “Meet the Brands” event in Petersfield’s Avenue Pavilion and a coffee morning at Herne Farm Community Centre, as well as concerts by Emsworth Concert Band and Chichester Voices.

Langrish Lights of Remembrance and other events

Our annual Lights of Remembrance service, hosted at Langrish House, was a poignant opportunity for families to remember loved ones.

Supporters helped raise money at other events throughout Christmas:
• The Rosemary Foundation’s Christmas Fayre in East Meon Village Hall on November 26th
• A charity bazaar at Liphook Village Hall on December 3rd
• the gemini consort’s concert at St Peter’s Church, Petersfield on December 10th
• The Magic of Christmas concert by the Emsworth Concert Band at Bedales School on December 10th
• Chichester Voices concert at Emsworth Baptist Church on December 15th.

And we enjoyed our best year yet for selling our Rosemary Foundation Christmas cards at events and through Petersfield Library.

Funding a “Hospice at Home” service free for the patient

The Rosemary Foundation is fortunate that we can rely on supporters to organise fund-raising events for our services in Petersfield and the surrounding towns and villages for patients in the latter stage of life-limiting conditions.

It costs approximately £1,600 per month to keep one Rosemary Foundation nurse on the road, but we don’t receive any statutory funding. Instead, we rely totally on our fund-raising efforts to continue providing a valuable service at no cost to the patient or their family.

The Rosemary Foundation’s 20th anniversary tea party

We are already gearing up for another burst of fundraising for our 20th anniversary on 23rd June this year, with a series of tea parties across the area.

There will also be a Remembrance Service on Friday, 23rd June 23 at 2:30pm in All Saint’s Parish Church, East Meon.

Details will be in our Spring newsletter but anyone interested in organising a tea party to raise money for the Rosemary Foundation can contact us on 01730 266329 or by emailing info@rosemary-foundation.org.uk.
