We’re very sociable at The Rosemary Foundation

Now the nights are drawing in, what better way to spend a pleasant evening with friends and get the brain cells going, than to take part in a quiz night and supper.

And when the night is for a good cause, that’s extra reason for a warm feeling on a cold October night.

20 years’ fundraising to provide a free “hospice at home” service

The Rosemary Foundation is fortunate that we can rely on a team of volunteers and supporters to organise fund-raising events for our activities. For nearly 20 years we’ve been providing our Hospice at Home service in Petersfield and the surrounding towns and villages for patients in the latter stage of life-limiting conditions.

But we don’t receive any statutory funding and rely totally on our fund-raising efforts to continue providing a valuable service at no cost to the patient or their family.

That’s why we’re so grateful to the people who have organised a busy programme of social events throughout 2016.

This year, we’ve had everything from choral concerts and open gardens to a pig racing evening recently that raised a staggering £1,800. Our grateful thanks go to the Butler family at Hartley Park Farm near Selborne for allowing us to hold this event in July, in the marquee they had erected for their annual Lavender Fields opening.

The Rosemary Foundation Annual Quiz Night, Saturday 15 October 2016

Our next event is our annual quiz night, in East Meon Village Hall, this Saturday evening, October 15th at 7pm for 7.30 pm.

We’re looking for teams of up to eight for a mentally stimulating but entertaining night. There will be six rounds, including pictures and music, with enough variety for everyone to have a chance to shine, not just sports fans or history buffs.

Tickets cost £10 each and there’s a raffle and ploughman’s supper; you’re also invited to bring your own liquid refreshments. All the proceeds will go to continuing our service to the people in the East Hampshire area.

If you’d like to book a team table, please ring 01730 266329.
