Opera Dinners at Stansted House

There were delights both culinary and musical at Stansted House on 9th and 10th May. The evenings comprised an excellent dinner during which guests were treated to operatic excerpts sung by four members of the Charles Court Opera Company. These were polished and most entertaining performances of music from Mozart to Lehar via Verdi and Delibes, and were warmly received.

The evening continued with a charity auction of a number of generously donated lots, masterfully auctioned by the Foundation’s Patron, Lord Bessborough, who together with Mrs Lucinda O’Bryan-Tear did a terrific job in organising the evenings.

The Foundation is most grateful to them and all those who contributed to make the evenings so thoroughly enjoyable and which, through the generosity of the guests, will make a very significant contribution to the Foundation’s funds.
